Celebrating 11 Years of Community Achieves

We're celebrating a milestone this month- the 11th anniversary of Community Achieves! That’s eleven years of dedication, collaboration, and making a real difference in our schools and neighborhoods. From teachers and principals to parents and volunteers, every single one of you has played a vital role in making Community Achieves the success story it is today.

But what also makes this milestone special is the unwavering support from the community. Whether you've volunteered your time, donated resources, or simply cheered us on from the sidelines, your commitment has kept us going strong.

Alignment Nashville has been a proud partner with Community Achieves since day one; pictured at left at the Community Achieves launch event on February 28, 2013 is Melissa Jaggers, Alignment Nashville President & CEO, with founding Community Achieves leaders from MNPS Alison McArthur and Gini Pupo-Walker. Also pictured is the principal at Antioch High School at the time, none other than our current Superintendent, Dr. Adrienne Battle!

If you’re not familiar with Community Achieves, it’s the MNPS-led initiative that links students and families to enrichment opportunities and vital community resources. Community Achieves staff at the school and district level work closely with partners and volunteers to provide wrap-around services to students and families. Alignment Nashville convenes the Community Achieves Steering Committee, which provides ongoing community support and sustainability for the initiative.

If you would like to be part of Community Achieves, please visit their website to learn how you can share your knowledge, time, resources in our schools.

Here's to another eleven years (and more) of working together to support students and families!
