Heather Chalos

Vice President

As Vice President, Heather oversees AN Operations, Human Resources and National Initiatives, including the Nashville Hub. She has previously served Alignment Nashville in the roles of Vice President of Operations and Associate Director. Heather is a graduate of Belmont University and joined Alignment Nashville in 2012 after having worked in children’s health for over twelve years. Her background and experience includes non-profit management, medical practice management, volunteer management and collective impact consulting and coaching.

Rachel Floyd

Bookkeeper

Rachel Floyd joined the Alignment Nashville team in 2019 as the Bookkeeper. Her accounting background consists of experience in various industry such as employee benefits, legal, small business manufacturing but more relevant is a long history of working in communications and finance with Sierra Club which is a 501c4/501c3 environmental organization.

Bethany Gifford

Administrative Assistant

Bethany Gifford is Alignment Nashville’s Administrative Assistant. She is a California native with a diverse background in healthcare, executive assisting, and business management. She has always had a passion for helping people, which led her to pursue a career in healthcare early on in her professional journey. Eventually, Bethany decided to expand her skillset and took on the role of a business director at a large conglomerate based in Florida. After moving to Tennessee she worked as an executive assistant, as well as owning her own marketing company. She is a graduate of Ashworth College and has her degree in Business Management.

Ryan Gill

Family University Project Administrator

Ryan Gill is the Project Administrator for Family University, a collaborative initiative between Alignment Nashville and the MNPS Office of Family and Community Engagement. Ryan has lived in Nashville since childhood and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Belmont University and a Master’s in Non-Profit Management from Tennessee State University. Before joining the Alignment Nashville Team, Ryan worked with Immigrants and Refugees to assist them in integrating into the United States, and becoming self-sufficient through employment.

Meggie Hill

Nashville Hub Program Manager

Meggie Hill is Alignment Nashville's Nashville Hub Program Manager. She is a Nashville native and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Religion from Denison University. Before joining Alignment Nashville, Meggie worked on product, fraud, and risk operations teams in the technology industry. She made the transition into the non-profit sector due to her strong passion for social justice and community welfare. In her free time, Meggie enjoys watching movies at the Belcourt, seeing musicals at TPAC, cheering on the Nashville Predators, and spending time with her wife and two dogs.

Melissa Jaggers

President and CEO

Melissa came to Alignment Nashville in 2005 after serving as Director of Grant Development at Nashville State Community College for six years, where she worked to secure several federally funded grants from the National Science Foundation, the US Department of Education, and other sources. She also served as Nashville State’s Director of Development, raising private funds for the institution and working with the Nashville State Foundation. Previously, Melissa was Director of Marketing at the Renaissance Center in Dickson, Tennessee, and Account Manager at Fletcher & Rowley Political Consulting. Melissa holds a BA in Political Science from Western Kentucky University.

Robert Robinson

Director of Collaborative Initiatives

Robert Robinson was raised in Memphis, TN. He has a background in education and nonprofits. Before coming to Alignment Nashville in 2017, he spent 4 years at the Urban League of Middle Tennessee where he was responsible for K-12 youth development programs. He has a passion for education, social justice, and community empowerment. He holds a B.S. in Psychology from Howard University and a M.Ed. in Community Development and Action from Vanderbilt University.

Nathan Shulman

Collaborative Initiatives Manager

Nathan is a passionate advocate for community welfare and social justice. Prior to joining Alignment Nashville, Nathan spent nine years supporting survivors of domestic violence as both a shelter manager and director of statewide initiatives. He has a BA from Denison University as well as extensive experience working with nonprofits, schools, and federal and state agencies.

Morgan Tubbs

Family University Program Manager

Morgan Tubbs is the Program Manager for Family University, a collaborative initiative between Alignment Nashville and the MNPS Office of Family and Community Engagement. Morgan is a Mississippi native and has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than a decade in focus areas such as creative arts, children & youth ministry, and mental health. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Mississippi State University and a Master’s degree in Social Justice & Ethics from the Iliff School of Theology in Denver.
