Each year, the MNPS Career Exploration Fair brings together students, educators, and business/industry partners for a one-of-a-kind opportunity to explore the world of work — and this year’s event was the biggest yet. Thousands of MNPS ninth graders filled the Music City Convention Center, eager to learn more about Nashville’s diverse industries, from healthcare and hospitality to technology and construction.
Alignment Nashville is proud to support this event each year in collaboration with MNPS, the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, PENCIL, and dozens of local employers. The Career Fair is a cornerstone of the Academies of Nashville, giving students a hands-on opportunity to explore career pathways aligned to their interests and Nashville’s workforce needs. Heather Chalos, Alignment Nashville/Nashville Hub Vice President, was honored to serve as a panelist to select this year’s “Best of Show” winners.
“When students can talk directly with professionals in their community, they begin to see themselves in those roles — that’s when career readiness becomes real,” said Chalos. “We are proud to play a part in bringing this event to life each year.”
This year’s Career Exploration Fair featured interactive exhibits, live demonstrations, and conversations that inspired the next generation of Nashville’s workforce. Employers shared not only what they do, but also why their work matters — helping students connect their passions to purpose.
Career readiness starts with curiosity — and events like this spark the exploration that leads to opportunity.
