Organization Description

  • Alignment Nashville is a small but vibrant organization that brings community partners together to improve the education and health of our youth. At Alignment Nashville, we believe that we are better together – and it’s fun and energizing to be part of a community-wide effort that truly has an impact on our community. We convene Alignment Teams (A-Teams) structured around grade levels, special populations, health issues, and emerging needs. The members of the teams bring diverse perspectives — small non-profit, public school, city government, public health, higher education, large non-profit, and the business community — to create the most aligned, strategic tactical plans to achieve very ambitious goals.

Internship Description

  • At Alignment Nashville, no two days are ever the same! Successful interns must be ambitious, creative, flexible, trustworthy, and unafraid to “hit the ground running!” The Community Engagement Intern will be immersed in the education and nonprofit sector in Nashville and will gain a unique perspective of how community partnerships can lead to innovation in education. While interns have a lot to learn from their experience with Alignment Nashville, we also recognize that team members bring unique skills, talents, and interests that can help us work in new and novel ways.
