Dropout Causes Also Outside 'Factory' Walls

The problem with the term “dropout factory” is that it implies the entire cause of low academic success resides within the walls of the schools — or that schools alone can provide the entire solution. In fact, many cities across the country are now recognizing that the solution to the dropout problem is one that requires attention from the entire community.
