Parent University is engaging the community to equip every MNPS parent with an understanding of the importance of their student earning a high school diploma, and the requirements necessary to earn one. This information is presented in the context of the current MNPS High School Redesign utilizing Small Learning Communities (SLCs). Community organizations that already have strong relationships with parents in the community, and those who can identify, educate, and equip parents to engage other parents in this collaborative initiative are welcomed. Organizations are be provided with accurate content information regarding high school graduation requirements and opportunities for all students to participate in career and thematic academies.
