College should be for everyone...
There is an assumption that the reason many youth don’t attend college is because they either lack the aspirations, the will, or the resources.
The truth, however, is that many of the young people who don’t go on to higher education is because they weren’t put on that path early on in their education.
While Metro Nashville Public Schools is striving to make sure that all kids are prepared to go on to higher education, there are external factors outside of school that impede that route for a lot of kids.
Your organization’s participation in this project will ensure that the messages about college are being communicated to all kids and that the multiple needs that they have are being met.
