Parent University '2010 Be A + Parent Summer Institute'

The 2010 Parent University ‘Be A + Parent Summer Institute’, which is a collaboration of the Alignment Nashville Parent University Committee and Metro Nashville Public Schools, is pleased to announce will be held on the campus of Lipscomb University.
During this Saturday event we are asking the community to offer free-of-charge seminars designed to educate parents and caregivers on how best to prepare children for successful learning at the elementary, middle and high school level. Parents and caregivers who attend the seminars will be presented a Parent University Certificate and also earn incentives while they take usable skills back to their homes in preparation for the upcoming 2010-2011 school year.
The event will serve approximately 400 parents and 500 children and the Parent University Committee will provide a children and youth literacy camp (provided by the YMCA), a light breakfast, and a Parent University Certificate for all attendees.
